Intermountain Repeater Group is looking for volunteers to help out at the Mt. Evans Ascent Foot Race coming up on June 12th. Our club operates a portable repeater at the summit, and we have radio operators at the starting line and each aid station providing communication with the race organizers about the progress of the race, and any situations which arise during the course of the race.

We recommend that operators have a good mobile 2M radio for this event; HT rigs at 5W can be inadequate to hit the repeater in the mountain terrain.
