Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 9th — it’s the Pikes Peak Megafest 2016. Intermountain Repeater Group will have a table there, so stop by and say hello. Who knows what sort of antique radio treasures you might find?

On June 12th, several members of Intermountain Repeater Group helped out with the Mt. Evans Ascent foot race, providing radio communication throughout the race. Our club members were stationed at the starting line at Echo Lake campground, at the summit, and at the aid stations along the course. Volunteering this year were Bob – KEØSJ, Chris – WØCLF, Robert – NØCFM, Tim – KDØMEX and his wife Jennifer, Bill – KIØFV, Tony – WØSBS, Ken – KDØLZB and his wife Betty, and Jed – KDØYMG. A big thank-you goes to all who helped out.

It was a bit on the cool side on the mountain today, but the weather cooperated until very late in the race, when the summit experienced rain, hail, and snow.

IRG would also like to thank the race organizers, Alpine Rescue, other volunteers, and of course all the runners, for making this year’s run another great event!
